Getting closer

Heat, a cool change, a couple of days of paid work - it's been an interesting week. On the first 3 days of this week I had the company of Natasha's dad Terry who helped with a good amount of rendering and also did some work on the exterior subfloor area. Then on Thursday and Friday I had a couple of days away from the build, working in the city. The timing was good as the temperatures went into the upper 30s and air conditioning was most welcome.

This week I've been working on getting the final coat done in the studio, in order to have another area complete. That will mean that end of the house has all been final coated. Today we had Mel, Aygun and Katrina out to help us with the studio while I started putting up ceiling insulation and Natasha fed and entertained us. We have finally had a cool change which makes the render behave differently, mostly it dries slower. It's a lot easier to work in a cooler air too. We had 7mm of rain by the time I left today which will help to reverse the dryness of the land that the recent heat has caused.

We all had a lot of fun today with everyone working together, laughing and making light of the work. It is so good to get to spend time with everyone who helps out and I hope you are all remembering which parts of the house you helped create, so that you can beam at it when you come around to visit us living in the completed house. When will that be? Who knows, but it certainly gets closer with every day.
