Today was good indeed. Logan arrived at 9am and we threw in the last of the bedroom windows. I've been waiting until I had another set of hands until I fit the remaining windows, one of them being the biggest of the lot, the lounge window. Aygun and his wonderful mum arrived a bit later and I set Aygun to the task of prepping the big window for installation while I got his mum to brush the loose sand from our final coated walls.
Aygun got into final rendering a section of wall in the north entrance hall. With his usual excellent attention to detail and previous experience doing almost everything on the build, I knew I could leave him to do that task without a worry. Meanwhile, Logan and I took to digging what must be the last stump holes we'll have to do on this house. One was a replacement for a veranda post which was too short to take a handrail and the other one was for a new post to go by the steps at the front(south) of the house. It's funny that we should be doing this, as last night Natasha, Brenda and I watched our short movie showing our original stump adventures, trials and tortures. Today's ones were a lot more fun.
Getting the new stumps in was quite easy and by the end of the day we had most of the decking bearer on for the south side. We'll be doing the decking quite soon so was a job that is satisfying and quite simple to achieve.
So I felt like we got a lot done today after a couple of relaxed days off over Christmas and Boxing Day. A bit of help goes a long way. Thanks guys!
