A couple of months or more ago I rashly said to Natasha, in answer to the question "when are you going to cut your hair?" - "when we have moved in to our new house". I can't remember how long ago I actually said it, but it's safe to say that I'm starting to look a bit 1970s.
The windows arrived this week, they look great and I've been prepping them for installation by sealing the sides of the frames with paint. By the end of the day on Wednesday (Thursday was a day off building) I had installed the first window, in our bedroom. It looks great although it is a slow job for one person given that the windows aren't cheap and I'm not keen on damaging any of them. It will get faster with another set of hands of the job. But first, clean all of the render and straw from those rooms! I've become used to throwing things out of the gaps where windows will go and I know that luxury won't last.
