Baths are a magical thing. They are lovely for tired sore bodies like
ours! We've spent this weekend working on cleaning out trenches (stump
holes) and enjoying the sunshine. It's been a less frenetic pace, and
we have a little ghetto-blaster plugged into the ipod - music has been
fantastic to keep us energised.
Having power on the site is fabbo, and we've had quite a bit of dancing
around today, with some beautiful dragonflies and cockatoos flying
around us. Some of the trees we planted in winter are still alive, we
think it is because of the worm castings we put into the soil when we
planted them. It is so so so dry, I am surprised they are still going,
as we have hardly watered them - although it has rained a bit the last
few days, which has been wonderful.
Our next focus is finding a concrete contractor to get the 200ml pads
laid in our stump holes and trenches. Quite a few we have spoken to are
busy until next next year - we want to get it done this week! Once the
concrete pads are laid, we can get busy getting the timber stumps in
and back-filled. Then we will be well on the way to getting off the
ground and out of the dust, dirt and rocks!
