It's been really hard at times to keep motivated, as 'normal' soil without this rock, would have had the stump holes dug in a matter of a few hours, with stump holes cleaned out a few hours later, ready for inspection. We have had to dig deep (pardon the pun!) both physically and emotionally, and we were not expecting to be so challenged so early in the piece!

In saying that, there have been some lovely surprises, relevations, and lessons learnt. We are so enjoying being at the land and getting to know the locals, who drop in and introduce themselves. The physical work is great, we are really enjoying getting stuck into it, and we've both lost a few kilos and are feeling stronger and healthier! Fresh air, birds to admire, roos watching on, and amazing views all around us - we are such lucky duckies!

It's been beautiful to have our friends come and hang out with us, and to see them get stuck into the build. I have been surprised (and delighted) to see how much fun they have had helping us, and how much they have to contribute - with ideas, support, laughter, and friendship. Divine.

Aygun told us about the 'wild artichokes' growing all around us, and I thought he must be joking! They looked like terrible thistles to me. After some careful preparation, here I was eating it - it was yummy too! Lots of things are starting to look different to me know. This is such a rich journey and I am loving it.
