Well it was one of those days when I probably shouldn't have been out there.  The heat got to 35˚, but most of all the wind was blowing up to 88 kph.  There were several moments of almost losing my balance and a few cases of the joist going through our insulation netting when I lost it due to a big gust.  Some moments I just had to stop, close my eyes and wait for half a minute for the wind to stop.  Fortunately when I opened my eyes the house was still there.

Despite all this I still got 16 joists on which is great considering the conditions.  Packing up was hard, especially tying up the timber and getting the plastic covering on.  The trip home was interesting too, with the main road into town closed due to fallen branches and the other route was a game of dodge the tumbleweed.  Or just run over it.

We are pushing to have all the joists done by the end of this weekend.  It's very do-able and will depend on how well I go tomorrow.  Time for a breather.

Good on you Peter for persevering in those conditions, you're both unstoppable. Might need to work in the early morning/evening this week though, the forecast is for 4 days over 35 degrees. Still, we've had remarkably few heat waves this summer, and Jan. is nearly finished.

And....Melbourne hear the sound of drumming,
Must be the VICTORY coming,
Pumped up and full of running...is that English?
Victory the brave

Coming to the finals???
