So we watch the news and all the doom and gloom, and listen to terms like 'emergency' and 'crisis' and then we borrow more money. We have never really liked the media's take on things anyway.

Peter is so amazing working in the heat on his own day after day. I keep telling him how amazing he is and I think it's beginning to sink in. YAY! We are both very excited about getting the floor on and Peter has figured out that we will have a great spot to sit and relax/rest out of the sun - at the high end of the house underneath the floor. Divine!

When we have finished the floor, it will be time to start building the internal wall framing, which will really bring the size and shape of all the rooms to light. It's like every new stage of the build is showing us another piece of the puzzle. It feels like uncovering part of a beautiful picture each week.

And what a work of art our house is becoming.

They illustrate the dirt, heat, dust, effort and sweat going into your house.  No matter what other challenges you face in life you will both be able to remember that you built a WHOLE HOUSE!!!
