Madness. The weather in this state is madness. After the ludicrous temperatures of a few days ago, the southerly now seems here to stay. So I've spent more time than I'd like to chasing pieces of insulation that blew away. What I really need to do is train up some local kangaroos. To fetch. And dance! Yes, some lunch time entertainment.
I started the day off with some stapling of netting in preparation for laying the insulation. Then I wrangled one sheet into place, nearly Mary Poppinsing off into the sky a few times. I'm working on the south side of the house now. After doing my second sheet I realised I had better do the tricky ensuite before I carry on with the rest, as they are all connecting. It was more fun than I expected, like some kind of huge jigsaw puzzle. Fortunately I had labelled all the edges with a corresponding name so it was no mystery.
The ensuite slope worked out pretty well, in fact I was very pleased with the finished result. I'm almost tempted to pour some water on it to see how well it flows into the centre. Well I could have just stared at it all day but instead I put on one more sheet and called it a day.
Tomorrow promises to be a bit warmer but just as windy but hopefully I'll get a whole bunch of sheets done and pass the halfway mark. I am putting off doing the sloping bathroom floor but I will have to attack it on Friday. That leaves tomorrow as a simple day of flooring and stapling. Natasha suggested I break up the stapling into small chunks so that my neck doesn't get sore. Great idea! Unfortunately it's my back that hurts tonight. Who would have known building a house could be hard work!
