Rain stops play

Nothing happened yesterday. I went out to the land and watched the rain on the windscreen for a few hours and listened to podcasts. It gave me a chance to catch up on some phone calls and to do some planning.

So far we've got 9 rafters out of 48 up and there are only 5 more to do until I need to have this veranda post thing resolved. The next rafters are very much connected with having that solution found and acted upon so maybe the rain is not 100% bad as it gives me some thinking and communication time. I met one of the new owners on our street on Sunday when he came over to say hi and he had a lot of great ideas for not having to pull those posts out, plus some good knowledge of local building recyclers that we could use for things such as doors, maybe windows and for kitchen fit out.

We need rain, but if I could order it to my specs I'd get it in a big downpour when our roof is on and our tank ready to go. I'll not be picky though, anything more than 1mm is helpful.
