Wow, there are so many things on the boil at the moment that my head is nearly exploding. I have answers to many of the questions that have been stressing me out, though not all of the answers are the ones I wanted. Firstly we have a question mark over whether we can use the roofing material that we chose, ordered and have had delivered at the cost of many thousands of dollars. We need to look into ways of remedying this situation, we know the options open to us but not which one will deliver what we need. More research needed, and a quick decision to be made. We were going to be roofing tomorrow and now it's put off until we can work this out. Maybe 2 weeks. Watch this space.

We had our framing inspection today. The last inspection we had was for a moonscape called stump holes, some time last year. So this inspection was to check everything we've done since then and I've been very nervous about what would come of it. We have done so much and finally someone was going to say "it's rubbish, pull it all down" or "it's perfect, here's a smiley face" or "it's mostly OK just do a bit of this and that and we'll let you continue". So we have just a few things to fix, maybe two days' work, depending on interpretation, which we are getting clarified tomorrow. A big relief. So we'll be putting up our straw bale walls without a roof on, or so it seems. That's not what we planned but we have to keep moving. Good weather for the 25th and 26th please!

well I'm glad you asked bro. I have iTunes playlists called Build and Build Groove! Build has anything with building related words in the title, such as Michael Jackson-Off the Wall+Get on the Floor, ACDC-High Voltage(for the electrician), Beatles-Norwegian Wood, MC Hammer, Ami Stewart-Knock on Wood, you get the idea. Random yet not.
Build groove is the constant music that just keeps me moving, namely Kraftwerk, Leftfield, Groove Armada, Lemon Jelly, Quantic Soul Orchestra, Rhian Sheehan.
Can you dig it?

That's just awesome bro. I can't tell you how completely astonished and awe-struck I am that you're doing this yourselves with precisely no prior building experience. It just floors me. Being a DJ though, I have to ask... in years to come, what music will be reminding you of the build?

3. ALright!!!
must be great to get that positive feedback from the inspecting crew - to know you're really on track! Did you see Grand Designs from Tuesday night? Totally brilliant, this couple made a house in France, walls constructed from car tyres and earth. Amazing and absolutely inspiring, over budget as always but my what a home.
Whoohoo I have 26th OFF work!! Think it'll be Clairey and me.
