Sunday saw work finishing off the trickier angled ends of the north side while Natasha and Nicole got into baling mode. The had a brilliantly successful day, and the walls are mostly complete up to the level of intermediate boxing and that's where I come in. Building the boxing. It was a frustrating day spent largely, it seems, working on one section of boxing which I didn't even get finished. I became angry at it and eventually gave up on it to try another task required for roofing to proceed on the south side. This I did complete although at the end of the day I felt like I had accomplished very little. The walls need the intermediate boxing, I couldn't deliver them and that was frustrating. The great thing is that with Natasha and Nicole achieving great things with the walls and the roofers working away above, it was a very productive day. It just didn't feel like it at the time.

Roll on Monday and rain had set in overnight and looked like stopping the roofing for a day. The roofers (Tim and Dazza) arrived, we decided it wasn't going to be safe up on the roof and they left. Then the rain stopped, Tim and Dazza came back for a crack at it. The weather held until about 4pm. I started with some good old intermediate boxing and then when the ground had dried off a bit I went up the ladder and set about finishing off the fascia. By the end of the day Tim and Daz had the first crucial sheets on the south side and a tiny bit more rain protection for the house was achieved. In between my other tasks I'm helping the roofers out with their job by passing up sheets of roofing, rolling out the anticon (a sizalation that goes under the roof sheets) and just doing anything else they needed.

By the end of the day I was very satisfied with our progress and if I look at at, with the progress that we all made over the last three days. I'm really looking forward to the next two days! 

Finally, Happy Birthday to my Dad Ian, who is 70 today!  Woohoo!

I LOVE seeing the progress online every day, yours has become my favourite blog by far.    The roof is going to be amazing, the line of the roof gives the house beautiful movement and makes it imposing I reckon but not in a pretentious "look at me" way.
