It's not long 'til winter, but we are still having come cracker jack blue sky days for building. Having been to Brisbane for three days this week and experienced the incredible rain up there, it was quite a different world to come back to the drought-ridden west of Melbourne.

We are having our rafters delivered mid next week, so in the mean time we are catching up on all the little jobs we have been meaning to get to, and preparing for the start of our roof!  We were also blessed with a visit from Mike and John, who brought with them a scrumptious home-made lunch, complete with angel cakes for dessert! It was so very decadent, as we have been getting a bit tired of making sandwiches all the time (as yummy as they are!). So big thanks to Mike and John (John, you are an ace chef!) for spoiling us.

We finished up early in the afternoon to go to a family dinner in Croydon and just as we were finishing up, Matt, Sienna and Richard (visiting from NZ) paid us a surprise visit. We LOVE visitors! It's great for us to see things through our friend's eyes - especially when there has been a good gap of time between their visits. We take lots of things for granted and easily forget how far we have come and how much we have learned. Mike, John and Matt reminded us of our progress, and of the amazing journey we are on. Thanks guys!
