Another beautiful day for building and the veranda posts are looking beautiful too! All posts are in, thanks to a great day's work from myself and Ivan. It's been a funny feeling putting posts in the ground, kind of like a flash back to when we were putting in stumps but without the angst of not knowing what was in the ground. ![]()
The intention of the day was to get all of the posts finished before Ivan left and that's what we did. So no more digging holes. Well not that I can think of anyway. That's a reason to celebrate. Woohoo! The next mission is to get beams up on these posts so that the rafters have something to sit on when we put them up. For this I'll need to hire my new handy friend, the materials hoist. That's a job for Monday. First though, there is a weekend for finishing up odds and ends and tidying up the site a little.
