Well, we finally got some stuff done today!  I was getting quite frustrated (just ask Peter) and antsy - there seems to have been so many hold ups of late, and I just wanted to get into action! When we did get out to the land today (with extra timber to re-do the posts), it continued to rain. It was amazing. The view of the weather from our house is quite spectacular, and nature was doing its thang today!Amazing_weather_too_boggy_for_ute.jpg

We had incredibly dark onimous clouds, then it was still, then the clouds came over us so quickly, then it was cold and windy, then the clouds passed us and then seemed to lift up in a very strange way, then it rained, no it poured, then it cleared up and got quote hot, then it got cooler, then it rained again and then it got even more windy. Then the sun came out again and helped dry our wet floor.

We loved watching the weather, not to mention the birds - they are so beautiful. We regularly see wedge tailed eagles and hawks. It makes me feel very fortunate to be building our house in such a great spot - not all that long and we will be able to enjoy it all day and night long. Mmm mmmm.

Our mission today was to take down our central posts and put up new ones - or more specifically, taller ones. Thank goodness Peter picked up on the miscalculations on our plans and specs at this stage and not later which would have had far worse consequences. I am so proud of him. Once we got into it today we worked quite quickly and took down 6 posts and got 6 new ones up. So now we are well and truley on our way and can keep motoring on, yay! Bring on the roof!
