We've been rendering again. It may seem like a never-ending task to some but we just do a day here and a day there. Most of our days are now taken up with work or looking after Dylan so we build when we can. It's a really nice way to live!
The interior of the house is mostly rendered now, we finished off Bedroom 3 and the remaining parts of the hall that were waiting patiently to be done. So that leaves the bathroom. The junk room! Stuff gets shuffled from room to room as we sign off on each space and the last port of call (inside the house anyway) is the bathroom. Now even that is being attended to. Most of what remains is related to the actual completion of the room. There is lots to do too and having most of the stuff removed has allowed me to evaluate the whole job with a calmer mind. After the kitchen it is the second-most involved room in the house. I've also had lots of practice doing the other other rooms so it doesn't daunt me so much. None of this means that the house is nearly finished though. We have just extended our deadline for completion by a year, which means it's over 6 months that we've been living in our house. Some of the tasks are large but they are few (ceiling, flooring, the walls are mostly taken care of!). We feel OK about spending a little time gardening now and just appreciating this amazing spot we live in.
